Bermuda

If you’re looking for pink-sand beaches, dazzling turquoise waves and warm, friendly locals then, Bermuda is the perfect choice.
It was first discovered by a Spanish sailor, Juan de Bermudez, in 1505 and consists of around 180 islands and islets that lie just off the coast of North Carolina, in the Atlantic Ocean. It was claimed in England’s name by Sir George Somers in July 1609 and has since then, embraced many a quintessential English tradition but, in contrast displays a relaxed attitude befitting a subtropical island. ‘Bermuda’ – whitewashed stone cottages, proper gentlemen in jackets, ties and shorts, beautiful beaches, cricket matches and afternoon tea – all of these stereotypes come true here.
