It is important to note that some airlines may require you to check in at the airport if you are traveling internationally, or if you have special needs or requests. Therefore, it is always a good idea to check the airline’s website or contact their customer service for specific check-in requirements.

How will you send my flight tickets to me?

If you have booked your flight through an Independent Travel Agent, they may send your flight tickets to you via email or by mail, depending on your preference and the specific arrangements that you have made with them.

If you have requested to receive e-tickets, the travel agent will usually email them to you as attachments or provide you with a link to download them directly from the airline’s website. E-tickets are electronic versions of flight tickets that contain all the necessary information about your flight, including your flight itinerary, ticket number, and passenger details. You can print your e-ticket or save it on your mobile device to present it at the airport during check-in.

If you have requested to receive physical tickets, the travel agent will usually send them to you by mail, courier, or provide you with the option to pick them up at their office. Physical tickets are less common these days, as most airlines have switched to e-tickets.

If you have any concerns or questions about how your travel agent will send your flight tickets to you, we recommend contacting them directly to confirm the details and delivery options available to you.

There is a mistake on my flight ticket?

If you have noticed a mistake on your flight ticket, it’s important to take action as soon as possible to avoid any problems at the airport or during your travel. Here are the steps you can take:

  1. Contact the airline or travel agent: If you have booked your flight through a travel agent, contact them first. Otherwise, contact the airline directly to explain the mistake and ask for assistance. Provide them with your booking details and any relevant information about the mistake on your ticket.
  2. Explain the mistake: Be clear about what the mistake is and how it needs to be corrected. Common mistakes on flight tickets include misspelled names, incorrect travel dates, and wrong flight numbers.
  3. Follow the airline’s instructions: The airline may provide you with instructions on how to correct the mistake, such as providing them with supporting documents or paying a fee for the correction. Follow their instructions carefully and promptly to avoid any further delays or complications.
  4. Check your corrected ticket: After the mistake has been corrected, make sure to check your new ticket carefully to ensure that all the information is accurate and matches your travel plans.

It’s always a good idea to check your flight ticket carefully when you first receive it to avoid any mistakes or discrepancies. However, if you do notice a mistake, don’t panic – most mistakes can be corrected with the help of the airline or travel agent.

What documents do I take to the airport?

When traveling by air, you will need to take certain documents with you to the airport to complete the check-in process and board your flight. Here are the essential documents that you should bring with you:

  1. Passport or government-issued ID: If you are traveling internationally, you will need a valid passport to enter and exit the country. If you are traveling domestically, you may be required to show a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license or state ID.
  2. Flight ticket or e-ticket confirmation: You will need to show your flight ticket or e-ticket confirmation to check-in for your flight and board the plane. This document will contain your flight details, including your departure time, gate number, and seat assignment.
  3. Visa or travel authorization: Depending on your destination and your citizenship, you may need a visa or travel authorization to enter the country. Make sure to check the entry requirements for your destination and obtain the necessary documents before you travel.
  4. Health documents: In some cases, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results to enter certain countries or to comply with airline policies. Check the requirements for your destination and airline and bring any necessary health documents with you.
  5. Other travel documents: Depending on your travel arrangements, you may also need to bring other travel documents, such as travel insurance, hotel reservations, or car rental agreements.

It’s important to double-check the specific document requirements for your destination and airline before you travel, as they may vary depending on your itinerary and other factors. Make sure to have all the necessary documents with you to ensure a smooth travel experience.

What is an electronic ticket?

An electronic ticket, often referred to as an e-ticket, is a reservation in an airline’s computer system. It serves as proof that a ticket has been issued for a particular flight. When you’re issued an e-ticket, there’s also an e-ticket receipt that’s printed out afterward. This receipt often looks similar to an old-style paper ticket, but doesn’t need to be presented at the check-in counter on the day of your flight – though we suggest you have it with you just in case, as it serves as proof that your ticket was issued.

When will you send my flight ticket to me?

The timing of when an Independent Travel Agent will send your flight ticket to you may depend on various factors, such as the airline’s ticketing policies, the type of ticket you have purchased, and how you have requested to receive your ticket. Here are some general guidelines:

If you have purchased an e-ticket:

  • The travel agent should be able to provide you with your e-ticket confirmation very soon after your booking is confirmed. This may be sent to you via email or made available for you to download from the airline’s website. You should receive your e-ticket well before your scheduled departure date and if it’s not received within 72hrs, follow up with the agent.

If you have purchased a physical ticket:

  • While rare, a printed ticket may be required for some obscure airlines and the travel agent will need to obtain the ticket from the airline before sending it to you. This process may take a few days to a few weeks, depending on the airline’s policies and the delivery method you have chosen. Once the travel agent has received the ticket, they will send it to you via mail or courier, or you may need to pick it up from their office.

It is always a good idea to confirm with your travel agent the expected timeline for receiving your flight ticket, so you can plan accordingly and ensure that you have enough time to receive the ticket before your scheduled departure date.

These days, nearlly all Round the World Airfares are eticketable so it would only be add on sectors that may take longer or come in differnt formats, either way, your travel agent should advise this to you before you complete the purchase.

Will I need visas?

The simple answer is YES, you will require a visa for every single country you enter.

All countries require travellers to obtain a visa of some description before arriving at their doorstep.

These can either be obtained on arrival for a fee or part of a visa waiver program your country may be a part of, or they may need to be obtained at an embassy in your home country prior to departing for the destination. In all occasions you need to know this information before you book your round the world airfare or you may find yourself in very hot water.

Don’t worry though, there are plenty of programs that can help you with this and most countries have a dedicate government website that outlines the visa requirements for their passport holders to entry any country in the world. If you look at this one ( https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advicefrom ) from the UK government, you can see all the countries around the world and the latest information that is required to enter each place.

It also provides the latest safety advice for travellers going to each location, its worth while keeping a link to this in your favourites while travelling and checked it before you arrive in the next destination just encase something has changed.

*** As the traveller, it is your responsibility to check if you personally meet the entry requirements for each of the destinations you intend to visit.

So next time you’re planning a trip, consider taking some time to learn the local language first – it will definitely be worth it in the end!

What are taxes and why do I have to pay so much for them?

Taxes are a combination of Government taxes and airline charges which combine together to give you your total taxes. Generally, the more stops you make the more tax you will have to pay, as every time you land and take off again taxes will be charged. Some airlines charge more for taxes than others, so it is our job to ensure that we chose the correct airlines for your flights so that we can keep the cost as low as possible for you.

Unfortunately, part of the tax is levied against the price of fuel which is dependent on the price of oil. This can fluctuate regularly, and it nearly always increases. You will pay the taxes as quoted on the day of your final payment; it is therefore an advantage to pay for the ticket as early as you can.

It’s also worth remembering that flights can only be booked between 10 and 11 months in advance, so if you are planning a longer trip, we may have to change some dates whilst you are travelling or even only issue tickets while you are abroad.
